DRG7820

The Genexis DRG7820 fits directly onto a wall mounted FTU (Fibre Termination Unit) which is a permanent fixture and can't be moved by the end user. The FTU and router are shown below.


Features


Wifi - Dual band 2.4GHz (b,g,n) / 5GHz (ac) WLAN1 is 2.4ghz, WLAN2 is 5ghz

LAN - 4 x 1000/100/10 RJ45 ports with indicator lights located on the bottom edge of the unit

VOIP - 2 x SIP ports located on the bottom edge of the unit

Security - Supports WPA2-PSK and WPA.


Button Locations


WPS WiFi button - toward the top of the right edge of the unit

Reset button - pin hole on the right edge of the unit below the WPS button. Please don't reset the router unless advised to do so by B4RN.

Power button - on the left of the bottom edge of the unit


If the WPS button is pressed for about 10 seconds or more it will switch off/on the Wi-Fi. To activate WPS pairing, a shorter press is needed. The WPS PIN is on the label on the front of the router.


Information Label


The information label is located on the front of the unit and shows the following:

  • SSID
  • WPA Key (Wi-Fi password)
  • WPS PIN - the PIN for pairing a device to the Wi-Fi network
  • Username - for browser based admin of the router
  • Password - for browser based admin of the router
  • MAC Address
  • Serial Number - of the unit


Indication lights


6 lights located at the top of the front face of the unit. From left to right:


Power | Internet | VOIP port 1 | VOIP port 2 | Not used | Wi-Fi


Power

  • Steady green - powered successfully
  • Steady red - system error - try re-powering the router by turning it off then on again
  • Rapid blinking green - Transmitting/receiving data
  • Slow blinking green - router is still initiating (booting up) ??
  • No light - there is no power (power cut, lead removed, faulty power pack or dead unit)


Internet

  • Steady on - Uplink active. The router is connected to the B4RN network
  • Flashing - Link is initialising or a firmware upgrade is in progress (Slow flashing means transmitting/receiving data)
  • Steady off - Uplink inactive. The router is not connected to the B4RN network


VOIP

  • On - VOIP line active
  • Off - VOIP line inactive


Wi-Fi

  • Steady green - Wi-Fi is enabled
  • Blinking green - WPS is pairing
  • Off - Wi-Fi is disabled


Lan ports (on the bottom edge of the unit next to each port)

  • Green - 1000 Mbps connection
  • Yellow - 100/10 Mbps connection
  • Blinking lights show network activity
