B4RN can provide a simple solution to B4RN customers at £75 inclusive of carriage and VAT. The aim of a battery backup is to keep the router running during power cuts and ensure that IP enabled care alarms and VoIP services can continue running. If you are using Wi-Fi calling from your mobile phone, then you would be able to carry on making calls during a power cut.
The device we supply is the Powersolve PB600-12 which can provide power to the router for approximately 3.5 hours.
This unit will work with all models of router supplied by B4RN. If you are also using a VoIP service such as B4RN Voice through your B4RN router, we would recommend using a simple corded handset in the event of a power cut. The handset shown below (BT Duet 210) doesn't require any mains power and has been tested with the B4RN Voice service.
Call our customer engagement team on 01524 555887 option 3 if you have any questions or would like to order one. The amount will be added to your next B4RN Direct Debit payment.
